London Marathon 2010

The Group will again be manning the water station on Blackheath at the start of this year's London Marathon.  We will be covering the both Blue start, and the Green (Celebrity) start.

We are looking for volunteers to help with this event which is not only a chance to join in one of London's iconic events, but also raise funds for the Group. 

We will be meeting as normal at 178 Bexley Lane so that most can travel to the event in a mini-bus rather than take too many cars.  Meeting time will be 6.15am in order to get away at 6.30am sharp.  We are finished and back in Sidcup by 10.30am.

We are looking for as much support as possible so if you or your child can assist it would be much appreciated.

Can anyone who is able to assist please let either your child's leader or myself know in order that we do not go without you.

This is not a uniform event but please wear clothes suitable for the weather.  Then weather forecast, so far, is good.  We will be getting 'event' T shirts, design unknown, as this is the first year the event is sponsored by Virgin.
