Cub Fun Camp

22nd August 2014, 10:30 - 23rd August 2014, 10:30

We will be running an overnight camp at our HQ in Rectory Lane for Cubs and their friends.

Scouts are also invited to attend if they would like to help with the organising and planning of the activity.

The event will start at 10:30 on Saturday and run through until 10:30 on Sunday, and cubs will be sleeping outside in tents.

Lunch and evening meal on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday is included and the cubs will be involved in cooking these, on camp fires, in order to meet the requirments of the outdoor chllenge badge (with a little help and supervision from the leaders to ensure the food is not too burnt :-) )

The camp will include a number of games, challenges and activites and where possible we will cover some of the outdoor based badges. (Inital activities are Softball, non stop cricket, football, wide games, assault course, camp fire cooking, camp gadgets, making bows and arrows, pioneering, donut challenge, etc)

As we have space at present for new members cubs (and scouts) may invite any friend(s) they have to join them for the camp if they wish, to give them an idea of what cubs/scouts is about and in the hope they may join - Providing they are aged over 7 1/2 and under 14.

We wil provide a kit list and health form to those attending and if you can let us know the parent(s) email of any friend(s) then we can send out the details to them also.

The cost of the event is £8 which can be paid on the day.

Information about the camp has been sent to all parents/contacts via Online Scout Manager
