1st Foots Cray Scout Group

Hall Hire

Subject to availability, our recently refurbished hall, adjacent to Foots Cray Meadows, is available to both parents of Group members and not-for-profit local Community Groups for hire. Although we own the hall itself, unlike other Groups, the actual grounds on which it sits are currently leased from Bexley Council.

Unfortunately, subscriptions from our members alone do not cover the overall costs of running the Group. Therefore money raised through the hiring out of the hall makes a useful contribution to our fundraising activities, as the Group needs to raise an additional £4000 each year to meet all of its running costs, as well as to continue to provide exciting, challenging and educational programmes for its members.

If you are a member of Scouting or represent a local not-for-profit organisation and are interested in hiring out our hall then please contact the Group's Assistant Group Scout Leader by email.

Parking is available on site.

Hourly, daily and overnight rates reviewed periodically. These rates are detailed below for information.

Hourly Rate - £25

Daily Rate - £150

Overnight Rate (up to 24 hours) - £150

Where an overnight stay exceeds 24 hours, then there will be an additional charge, based on the hourly, daily and/or overnight rate, as applicable. See examples below:

Example 1

Arrival 1000 on Day 1

Departure 1000 the following morning

Overnight rate only applies. T

Total cost = £150.

Example 2

Arrival 1000 on Day 1

Departure 1145 the following morning

Overnight rate applies, plus the hourly rate (2 hours @ £17.50 per hour).

Total cost = £200

Example 3

Arrival 1000 on Day 1

Departure 1700 the same day.

Based on the hourly rate the cost would be 7 x £25 = £175. However, this cost is capped, so the Daily Rate would apply.

Total cost = £150

Please note that, unfortunately, due to restrictions in the lease we have been granted by Bexley Council, the 1st Foots Cray Scout Group is only able to hire out our hall to local community groups.

NOTE - AT PRESENT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY NEW BOOKINGS
