Civic Awards

Congratulations to Chris & Mike Gasston who were presented with Civic Awards for Voluntary Service by the Mayor of the London Borough of Bexley, this evening.

Mike joined the Group in 1991 as an Asst Cub leader. From 1992 until 2011 he lead the Group as our Group Scout Leader, before accepting the post as Asst Group Scout Leader.

Chris joined as Cub Leader in 1989, in 2006 she took up a role on the Group Exec committee and has held a variety of roles supporting the group since.

They each have dedicated almost 30 years to volunteering with us, much of what they do is unseen by many, but is vital to keeping the Group running. Their recognition by the Mayor this evening, is truly deserved,
