Cubs help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support

Today, 1st Foots Cray Cubs helped raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Group's Cubs took part in Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning by hosting a coffee morning at the Scout Hall in Rectory Lane, Sidcup.

The event kicked off this morning at 10am, with a number of Beavers also turning up to help out the Cubs.

Our thanks go to all those who took the time to support the event today, including those parents of the Cubs and Beavers who brought along cakes; local residents; and members and parents of Woolwich CC,/Go-Ride Bexley.

The biggest surprise of the morning for the Cubs was the unexpected arrival of a group of people attending a wedding. The excitement generated amongst our young members when they spied, in their words " a group of men in suits and ladies in fancy dresses walking up the drive" was priceless, especially when this group was followed by another group, attending the same wedding, some 10 minutes later!
