Grounds landscaped and Scout Hall repainted

5th May 2015

Over the last couple of weekends work you may have noticed a lot of activity going on at the Scout Hall in Rectory Lane.

Over the weekend of 25/26th April we had some landscaping done to the area in front and to the side of the Scout hall to level the site, using the piles of earth left over from last year's groundworks. This work was able to be carried out by contractors, using donations that we kindly received last year from the Rotary and a neighbour. Most of the overgrown site behind the hall was cleared, although some work still needs to be carried out in this area, before we can carry out a planting scheme.

Following on from this, parents, Beavers, Cubs, Leaders and other helpers over the Bank Holiday weekend repainted the heavily trafficked internal areas including the main hall, the kitchen and toilets, as well as continuing to tidy up the grounds.

Many thanks to all those who took the time out of the holiday weekend to lend a hand.
