Canoeing & Kayaking Courses

Arrangements have been made for members of 1st Foots Cray Scout Troop and Cub Pack to participate in a canoeing/kayaking courses (BCU Paddle Power Passport) at Danson Water Sports Centre (Danson Road A221 between Sidcup and Bexleyheath).

Parking is available on the main road, and entrance to the Boat House is via a pedestrian gate.

No previous experience is needed for the activity.

Please meet at the boat house for 9.45, the event will finish at approx 15.15.

Danson park is open to the public, so parents/family/friends are welcome to stay for part or all of the day's activities.

Scouts will need to bring:

  • Packed lunch
  • Sun block, sun glasses
  • Change of clothes and a towel
  • Suitable footwear that they don’t mind getting wet

All participants should be able to swim and be water confident (if not please let us know in advance as you may still be able to participate)
