14th June 2014, 9:45 - 15:15

A fun day, trying both sailing and canoeing under the qualified instructors at Danson Water Sports Centre, (Danson Road A221 between Sidcup and Bexleyheath) for members of the 1st Foots Cray Scout Troop and Cub Pack.

Parking is available on the main road, and entrance to the Boat House is via a pedestrian gate.

No previous experience is needed for either activity

Please meet at the boat house for 9.45, the event will finish at approx 15.15

Danson Park is open to the public, so parents/family/friends are welcome to stay for part or all of the day's activities.

Participants will need to bring:

  • Packed lunch
  • Sun block, sun glasses
  • Change of clothes and a towel
  • Suitable footwear that they don’t mind getting wet

All participants should be able to swim and be water confident (if not please let us know in advance as you may still be able to participate).

For those interested in joining Scouting, why not come along and see for yourself what fun it can be. Leaders will be available on the day to talk to you about the many activities that can be undertaken and new friends that can be made when you join the 1st Foots Cray Scout Group, based in Rectory Lane, Sidcup, Kent.
